Essential Oils


Essential oils are plant extracts made from flowers, leaves, and seeds. Renowned for their pleasant scents and various skin-nourishing properties, essential oils are popular ingredients in both traditional and natural skincare. With their vast array of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, soothing and relaxing properties, essential oils have been effectively used for thousands of years to aid a variety of skin care concerns.

The scent of Essential Oils can affect the body and emotions in a powerful yet delicate manner. When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils are beleived to travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and can have a positive impact on amygdala, (the emotional center of the brain). Research studies have shown the efficacy of essential oils can successfully alter a mood, they can help calm and relax the mind or may boost energy when feeling blue. Essential oils can also be absorbed by the skin.

This popular garden plant is favoured by many . The lovely scent of lavender oil can be used to create a calming and tranquil atmosphere in the home. It can be challenging with our busy schedules in modern times to relax, but with lavender, you can find balance and calm.

Rose Geranium
This specific type of geranium is favoured by aromatherapists for its lovely rose scent. It can be used to dispel depression and lift a negative mood. Rose geranium can also be used to calm anxiety, especially brought on by hormonal cycles.

Eucalyptus
This amazing plant has been used for centuries to aid in the healing of colds or respiratory issues. Inhaling the aromatherapy vapours could also aid in calming the respiratory system. The oil has also been known to help soothe aches and pains

Litsea
Comparable to the scent of fresh lemons, litsea is an evergreen tree found in Asia. It's fresh citrus aroma can be used for states of anxiety as it has wonderful euphoric properties and has been shown to calm anxiety. Use litsea to feel energised and boost the body with antioxidants.

Ylang Ylang

Chamomile
One of the most popular and well-known herbs used for aromatherapy is the daisy-like chamomile. Chamomile oil contains azulene, known for increasing moisture and reducing inflammation. Often used in baths, it can help bring peace and tranquillity to a hectic day.

Essential Oils can be enjoyed in a variety of ways from heating an oil in a simple oil burner, to an electric oil humidifier. You can also reap their many benefits of through the use of bath and body products such as lotions, bath salts and more.
